Trophy Life app for Android (iphone coming) allows you to inject your bands presence into Facebook (G+ coming) and create contextual links to your bands webpage (increase google rankings).
Using Trophy Life, you can create a virtual trophy at any location on the planet and users in proximity can claim that trophy via GPS positioning.
So, doing a show at Stubbs? Create a Trophy called "I jammed at Stubbs with (insert band name here)" and then a time window of 2100 - 0000 hrs. Want to make it absolutely exclusive? Add a password you give the VIP's.
Anyone in proximity (about 30 meters) to the trophy location (Stubbs) in the time frame can claim that trophy. Since you blinged it out with a killer graphic, and a few extras they also get a nice helping of experience points in the "Nightlife" class. When they claim the trophy, it injects into their facebook timeline. When anyone else sees the trophy, they first get very jealous, then they click on it, which takes them to the main application webpage, where they see your trophy that links back to your band webpage. Google of course sees this link too, as well as contextual text relating to your band and this helps your rankings.
The app is free, the exras cost a few bucks.. Unbelievably cheap when you think of the exposure (how many fb friends do you have?) X number of trophy claimers.
It's basically a "Check in" that you control.
